Bronwyn Horne is currently the Academic Head of a private tertiary college in South Africa, The Animation School. She holds an MA in Digital Arts (Animation); MTech (Fine Art) Cum Laude and is currently completing her PhD at the University of the Witwatersrand. Her PhD research interest focuses on developing a hybrid animation technique through creative practice that addresses certain aspects of chronophotography and issues of perception. Using new approaches and current digital technologies (3D Animation and laser-cutting), the creative work explores visual representations of movement, time and space in the animated medium. The research was exhibited at the Wits Art Museum from 18th February – 19 March 2020.
